  2. Jody Fountain: The thought of two supposed friends teaming up to kill a "best friend" is sickening. They not only killed her but acted like they actually cared. They posted subliminal messages on twitter and no one noticed. If the red headed friend would have not went insane I am not positive they would have even got caught. They shouldn't have done this in the first place.

  3. This is very disturbing how can you be friends with somebody one day and kill them the next? And just because you don't like someone anymore doesn't give you the right to take their life away. You could of just told them you ain't want to be friends anymore. It's a good thing that one of the girls confessed leaving less work on forensic scientists, because they could of still been out here killing innocent people just because they don't like them. Forensic scientists have these evidence to help them solve this case. These girls deserve the time they were given. Not only have they kill someone, but they are leaving some people out here broken heart and afraid.

  4. The thought of three best friends just out of the blew turning into murderers is very disturbing. Why not just stop being friends; why did Rachel and Sheila murder their "best friend?" Sheila and Skylar have been best friends since she was 8. Skylar and Rachel met freshman year September 2010 and instantly became friends. Both girls deserve the sentence in prison they received. Why did Sheila get life in prison with possible parole in 15 years and Rachel who confessed got 30 years? This premeditated murder was done as a team of so called best friends. If Rachel wouldn't of had a breakdown they would probably still be on the streets living free of murder. I wonder just how long they were planning on murdering their best friend they no longer liked. This so proves watch who your so called friends are and the real friends stay true. ~Courtney Smith~

  5. First off, Sheela and Skylar had been friends since eight up until their freshman year. Their freshman year is when the two girls met Rachel. In my opinion, I feel that Rachel probably influenced Sheela into killing Skylar with her. I'm not saying that Sheela didn't grow apart from Skylar. I just believe that if it had just been the "duo" instead of "trio," Skylar would still be alive today, just lacking a best friend.

  6. I cannot believe that people like Sheela and Rachel even exist on this planet. In my opinion, Sheela and Rachel are the most evil people I have ever known in my life. Even from their tweets anybody could have told that they really didn't care if Skylar was dead. Why would you ever want to kill your best friend that you have know your entire life for an absurd reason? Skylar's Parents should have been more strict about who Skylar hangs around with. This case pertains to forensics because this was a murder case and the investigators had to find some concrete evidence to prove Sheela and Rachel guilty.

  7. I believe that every individual fiends for someone that they can confide into. Skylar was a typical teenager. As a young child, she met a girl similar to her named Sheela. Their friendship should have developed to the point to where they were willing to die for one another. When they reached high school, they met a girl named Rachel. According to the video, they were the best of friends. I fear the unknown. This case makes me uncomfortable because the girls didn't even have a valid reason for committing murder. They "just didn't like her." The case pertains to forensics because of the direct evidence (Rachel's confession) used to determine where the body was located.

  8. Rule #1 of life will always be: trust no one. we must accept that people like this do exist in the world and the people that we it next to in school everyday could possibly be people like this. The motive behind this crime was not how much Rachel and Shelia liked her. The motive was fear. Rachel was concerned that Skylar would tell her other friends about her sexual relationship with Shelia as well as the sex tape that has been identified as a plausible situation. I do believe that Shelia was driven by Rachel to commit this crime, although I do not consider her a victim. Had Rachel never confessed, I believe that there is a chance that the case could have taken years to solve or never been solved because of the location of the body and synchronization of stories. Even if the body was found later, there is also a possibility the statute of limitations could have elapsed prior to its discovery making them unable to be charged. I am very happy that the killers were caught and the Skylar Law could be passed and I am also very happy that the truth could finally be known about the motives. At the end of the day, we all need to really consider taking everything with a grain of salt and remembering to never take anything that looks perfect without a thorough examination.

  9. I feel that this was very ignorant on sheela and rachel's behalf. They couldnt even produce ah valued reason for killing Skylar. I feel if skylar and Sheela's friendship was close Rachel could have not provoked her to kill her friend thats been there far longer then she has. I felt like Rachel took the more grief then sheela due to the fact rachel deep done inside didnt want to do it, This case had alot to do with forensics. First the survillience and both alibis are direct evidence. DaShawn Cortez Melvin

  10. The components of this murder are unbelievable. Often, people abruptly act out based on a build up of anger and jealousy, but never should it come to the point where anyone feels it's necessary to take the life of another person. It's scary seeing how these young best friends were able to plan out a murder. If a confession would have never been made, I believe investigators would be looking for a lead to this day. I'm very content with the outcome of this crime and the sentences that were given.

    1. I agree with you Sam. It is so scary and disturbing to think that something like this can actually happen. I also feel that without Rachel confession that they may have never figured out the truth about this case. -Lila Coleman

  11. Skylar Neese, Shelia Eddy, and Rachel Shoaf were three best friends that lived in Morgantown, West Virginia. Their Facebook photos and tweeted photos showed that they loved spending time together. No one suspected that they had any problems with each other. July 6, 2012 is when Skylar Neese's parents found out that she was missing from her room one night. Six months after her disappearance, police began looking at the two girls Eddy and Shoaf as suspects. After the guilt had built up inside, Shoaf was the one to confess to murdering Neese. Shoaf and Eddy had stabbed Neese to death. Shoaf was sentenced to 30 years in prison and later be transferred to adult prison. Eddy was arrested a little after Shoaf in a restaurant parking lot. She was sentenced to life in prison. It was a possibility that she could get put on parole in 15 years. She was also charged as an adult.
The two girls were wrong for what they had did to Skylar Neese. If they didn't like her anymore, they should have just told her that instead of killing her. It was stupid of them to do such a thing. I feel they both deserve life in prison.

  12. Skylar Neese had no idea what she was getting into when she went through her bedroom window that night. She thought she'd be going out, having fun, and talking about it the next day with her so-called best friends. It is horrifying to know what friends are capable of. Lesson learned: Trust no one and always watch your own back before you worry about anyone else. Be safe and watch who you call your "best friends." -Amber Minter

  13. Although there was video of the trio playing a very strange game, I truly don't think that the game had anything to do with how Skyer Neesse was murdered. Even though the girls, Rachel and Sheela, almost got away with the murder I don't truly think they knew what they were doing. They were just going on things they had seen on television, or maybe even read in a book. Its hard to believe that two teenage girls, regardless of how much they had learned about how to commit a crime, were capable of killing someone who was supposedly their best friend, much less stab her. I guess the saying is true, "You can't trust anyone."

  14. Why in the world would you murder your best-friend? If you don't like someone like you claim you don't then why would you still be hanging around them fake kicking it like y'all just so besties. I feel like Rachel was jealous of Skylar and Sheela's friendship because they have been friends way before Rachel came in the picture. If Rachel had not went insane and confessed then i feel like this case would not have been solved especially no time soon anyways. This pertains to forensics because for one it was a crime and they had some evidence that they use to try to solve this case for instance the surveillance camera, window screen in the closet etc. -Delaysia Johnson

  15. This was a premeditated and well thought out murder. Sheela and Rachel knew exactly what they were doing, and caused so much pain and suffering to Skylar's family with their actions and lies. It is very disturbing to me to see these young teenagers taking part in such a vicious crime. They stabbed someone who was once their "bestfriend". Then continued to live their normal lives and act as if they missed Skylar, which is very unsettling to me. They seemed to have little or no remorse for their actions. Rachel was even out on a boat the very next day, while Skylar's parents were worried to death. These two girls deserve everything that they get.

  16. It is sad and shocking that two best friends killed another best friend all because they didn't like her. Once they murdered their so called best friend Skylar they went on with their daily lives and left the parents to suffer. Sheela and Rachel knew exactly what they where doing everything was planned. They stabbed on the count of three. When Sheela and Rachel were finally caught and they gave statements they were pretty much identical. As time went on Rachel had a nervous breakdown and told everything. How they where caught was because Shelia's car was found in another town by a surveillance camera.- Keyonna Wilcox

  17. Skylar Neese, Shelia Eddy, and Rachel Shoaf were three best friends that lived in Morgantown, West Virginia. The three of them were inseparable until one horrific accident that occurred changing their lives forever. Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf had been plotting this months prior. On July 6, 2012 Skylars parents filed a missing child report. Months passed until Rachael had a nervous breakdown spilling everything. Although the kids waited to confess, Skylars parents were thankful because they felt as though they reached peace for their daughter. These two girls deserved the punishment they received.

  18. Regardless of what the girls said about becoming tired of Neese so they killed her, I believe it was really over jealousy. Neese and Eddy had been friends since they were 8 and Eddy became friends with Shoaf; this is when Neese got jealous and Eddy and Shoaf didnt like that. So they killed her. I dont understand how police didnt find it important to keep drilling the girls, especially with so many faults in their stories. And to top it all of, the girl who had been best friends with Neese longest, Eddy, didnt even grow guilty and confess. It was the girl who had only known Neese for a short period of time that eventually caved.

  19. Seeing this video has gotten me in total shook. These best friend murder the third friend was overrated. I never seen or heard something like this in my life. Then say they killed her because they just didn't like her. I just don't understand something like that. How can you do that and then feel nothing after doing it . Not even that why would you even think about doing a murder on anybody no matter what the reason is for. From Aliyah pennamon
